What is LIHEAP?

LIHEAP is the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program from the US Federal Government to help families with energy costs. This help is provided by local agencies who distribute funds according to need and federal guidelines.
See the federal government's LIHEAP site for general information.

What is LIHEAP Calendar?

The calendar application was designed by MTC Software to be used by local agencies to allow the public to register for appointments to receive LIHEAP funds. If you're part of such an agency, you know how difficult it can be setting up appointments for people requesting help. Your phone lines can be swamped for days just trying to get appointments made. The LIHEAP Calendar was built to allow people to set up their own appointments relieving your staff from being glued to the phone. It is a very customizable application that gives you the ability to design registration periods that meet your staffing situations. You simply set up a template for a given week of appointments, then set the start and end dates for when you'll be taking appointments.

Have a custom situation? MTC Software will custom-design modules to your specifications. This application has been in use since the fall of 2006 with a fully redesigned update in 2017 and has had several custom modules built. Contact MTC Software to see how your agency might benefit from using the calendar.
